Simple Self Empowerment Tip for March

I have combined what my client’s recent needs are, what has been going on in my realm and what I have learned, to offer a simple tip for the collective energy at this time.

These days, majority of people have been coming to me to get grounded and de-stress. A self-care tool we can use is this Eastern healing technique- Dan Tien Breathing. Lower Dan Tien is a major energy centre located two fingers below the belly button where we can store vital energy through such practice. Taking a few minutes to do this daily, in challenging situation, in bed or even while walking around, could do wonders. The benefits include more mental clarity, stabilize emotions, grounding, calm down anxiety, relaxation, more vitality and energy, more contentment, lessen physical pain, etc. They say we are like a tree while emotions are tree branches and leaves, if the trunk is strong then the top can blow around in chaos as the the tree would always stay centred.

 

  1.  Find a comfortable position with spine straight- sitting, standing or lying down.
  2. Cup your hands around your belly button with the right hand under the left.
  3. Visualize and feeling your breath going into that area while expanding lower abdomen.
  4. Breathing out as abdomen retracts.
  5. Simply observe your breath in the present. Be mindful and without judgement. Notice how you feel after.

 

It is likely to be an enjoyable meditative process as you appreciate and savor one of your essential needs in life, something that we usually take for granted- breathing. Enjoy!
